Role Overview

Daikan Izakaya in Abu Dhabi is hiring a Bar Back to keep the beverage station running smoothly. The position supports bartenders by making sure supplies are ready, the bar stays tidy, and service can move efficiently during busy shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Support bartenders throughout service so bar operations remain seamless.
• Restock drinks, mixers, garnishes, ice, glassware, and other bar essentials.
• Prepare items such as garnishes, juices, syrups, and related ingredients as needed.
• Keep the bar clean, orderly, and consistently supplied.
• Gather, wash, and return glassware, utensils, and bar tools to use.
• Track inventory levels and alert supervisors when supplies are running low.
• Accept, arrange, and store beverage deliveries while following stock rotation procedures.
• Assist with stock counts and other inventory control tasks.
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards in line with company rules and local requirements.
• Dispose of waste and empty bottles in the correct manner.
• Follow all health and safety practices and keep the work area free from risks.
• Respond quickly to requests from bartenders and service colleagues.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience in a bar, restaurant, or wider hospitality setting is an advantage.
• Working understanding of beverages, bar setup, and guest service basics.
• Comfortable handling a busy, high-pressure work environment.
• Good coordination, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Able to lift and move stock, kegs, and other supplies when needed.
• Available to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
