Band 3 People Assistant - Human Resources Team

About the Role

We are excited to invite applications for a proactive and customer-oriented People Assistant to join our People and Culture team. This role is vital to our People Operations, serving as the initial contact point for colleagues throughout the Trust. You will be instrumental in providing a supportive, compassionate, and high-quality HR experience, ensuring staff feel valued and informed throughout their employment.

As part of a small, dedicated team, you will deliver consistent and accessible first-line services, addressing daily inquiries and assisting with core people processes crucial to the organisation's smooth operation.

Our team values flexible working arrangements, splitting time between working from home, the Trust headquarters, and various sites across Birmingham and Solihull. This position requires weekly attendance at Trust sites with opportunities for remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer prompt, precise, and empathetic first-line HR advice and guidance to employees and managers.
• Serve as a central contact point, managing inquiries and escalating matters appropriately.
• Provide excellent administrative support for key HR procedures including casework, job evaluations, and meetings.
• Ensure accurate and current record-keeping within HR systems, maintaining data quality and compliance.
• Assist in developing knowledge bases, templates, and standard operating procedures.
• Contribute to projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the experience of both staff and managers.
