Role Overview

This position involves creating and managing automated tests to ensure the reliability and quality of backend services using Selenium as part of a comprehensive automation framework.

Primary Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated test scripts targeting backend applications and services.
Create and execute Selenium-based test suites.
Validate backend functionality including APIs, system integrations, and workflows.
Document and track any defects discovered throughout testing.
Integrate automated testing into continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to boost test coverage and uphold quality standards.
Maintain reusable automation frameworks and test utilities.
Analyze test outcomes and report clearly on system quality and regressions.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Proven expertise in Selenium test automation.
Strong background in backend testing and automation methodologies.
Good understanding of API and service-level testing.
Familiarity with automation frameworks and test design patterns.
Experience working within CI/CD environments and automated deployment processes.
Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools.
Understanding of software development life cycle and QA best practices.

Preferred Skills

Programming experience in Java, Python, or comparable automation languages.
Experience with REST API testing frameworks or tools.
Knowledge of databases and validating backend data.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Experience working in Agile or Scrum project environments.
