About the Role
The Regional Audit Centre of Excellence (RACE) in Limerick is a key growth initiative within EY Assurance, pooling specialized audit professionals to support a wide range of audit engagements across Ireland and the UKI region. This team focuses on audit quality enhanced by technology and offers a dynamic environment for professional development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit workstreams on various projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery according to EY's standards.
- Coach and develop audit teams, fostering collaboration, continuous learning, and improvement.
- Act as a liaison for audit teams across Ireland and the UKI region.
- Implement audit procedures utilizing EY's digital tools, data analytics, and audit technologies.
- Review audit documentation and address complex technical audit challenges.
- Identify opportunities for improving audit quality, efficiency, and consistency.
- Support the expansion of the Centre through recruitment, onboarding, training, and operational initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with engagement leaders, contributing to a positive team culture.
Qualifications and Experience
- ACA, CA, or ACCA qualification (ICAEW, ICAS, Irish Institute, or equivalent), preferably passed on the first attempt.
- For Manager: Demonstrated experience leading multiple audit engagements and teams, with knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS; experience managing offshore or distributed teams is a plus.
- For Assistant Manager: Experience supervising audit staff and managing multiple engagements; strong organizational skills; familiarity with UK GAAP and IFRS.
