ఉద్యోగ వివరణ
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the fabrication and erection of structural steel components on site, ensuring tasks are performed efficiently and safely.
- Liaise closely with the Engineering team to obtain timely design inputs and coordinate efforts with general contractors and fabrication suppliers.
- Interpret and work with engineering, general arrangement (GA), Tekla models, and shop drawings to guide the fabrication process accurately.
- Maintain familiarity with pertinent Indian Standards (IS), American Welding Society (AWS), and ASME codes relevant to the work.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to finalize welding procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and stage-wise inspections to guarantee product quality in alignment with design criteria.
- Follow all safety protocols established by management, including preparation for work permits and safe practices for working at heights.
- Exercise control on site to implement preventive measures against unsafe actions and violations of safety norms.
- Compile fabrication progress reports, monitor progress, control deviations, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Deliver periodic reports to upper management summarizing project status and challenges.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a BE, B.Tech, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
- Proven experience of 5 to 10 years in heavy structural steel fabrication and erection projects.
- Background in mechanical construction and project execution.
- Practical knowledge of welding processes applicable to fabrication.
- Experienced in reading and working with GA drawings, shop drawings, and multidisciplinary project environments.
