Role Summary

The Site Safety Engineer will play a key role in strengthening the safety mindset and improving the Safety Management System across project areas within solar manufacturing facilities. The position involves detailed EHS checks and audits, reviewing environmental aspects and impacts, and ensuring full compliance with legal obligations and internal standards. The goal is to proactively reduce risk, support a safer workplace, and continuously lift safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and reinforce a strong safety-first culture across the solar manufacturing site among employees and contractors.
  • Upgrade and support the Safety Management System so that safety risks are effectively identified, evaluated, and controlled.
  • Carry out routine EHS inspections and audits to verify adherence to safety norms, regulatory expectations, and company procedures.
  • Assess environmental aspects and impacts linked to operations and suggest measures to reduce environmental risk and improve sustainability.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable laws, industry standards, and internal requirements covering occupational health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Investigate safety incidents and near misses, determine root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented to avoid repetition.
  • Design and conduct training on safe work practices, hazard recognition, emergency preparedness, and environmental protection.
  • Support ongoing improvement initiatives by applying best practices and learnings from audits, incidents, and safety reviews.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as project managers, operations managers, and safety committee members.
  • Work with external stakeholders including contractors, subcontractors, regulatory bodies, and local community representatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in construction safety or industrial safety management.
