Role Overview
The Mumbai (Dadar) office is hiring an Assistant Design Manager / Senior Executive - Architect for residential luxury villa projects. This is a pure architecture-focused position and does not include interior design work. The ideal candidate should bring at least 4 years of architectural design experience, with strong exposure to luxury residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
The selected professional will lead architectural design efforts, including plotting and master planning, while ensuring quality output and timely delivery. The role also involves feasibility studies, test fits in partnership with the land acquisition team, coordination with sales, project managers, and consultants, and facilitation of project kickoff and weekly review meetings. The person will review consultant submissions, ensure compliance with Isprava’s standards, prepare feasibility documents, design proposals, and presentations, and work closely with MEP, interior, and landscape teams to refine concepts. The position further requires ensuring compliance with Indian building regulations, carrying out site visits, resolving technical design issues during construction, and managing snagging and final inspections before handover.
Qualifications and Requirements
A Bachelor of Architecture degree is mandatory, while a Master’s degree in Architecture or Urban Planning is considered an advantage. Strong spoken and written English is required. The candidate should have solid hands-on experience with PowerPoint and SketchUp; familiarity with Revit and USGBC is beneficial. Prior onsite exposure will be an added plus. This role is intended for a strong architecture profile only and is not suitable for candidates primarily from interior design backgrounds.
