Applications & DevOps Consultant

Role Overview

The Applications & DevOps Consultant is responsible for overseeing post-sales activities by continually evaluating solution designs to align with evolving client needs. This role involves designing, planning, and deploying on-premises or cloud migration solutions while analyzing existing setups to recommend improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage proof of concept projects (POCs) and requests for proposals (RFPs), driving opportunities from presales through implementation stages.
• Assist clients in designing scalable and resilient application architectures utilizing Microsoft technologies.
• Serve as a technical advisor collaborating with customer business units, development teams, and infrastructure staff.
• Perform dual duties as an infrastructure expert and application development specialist.
• Implement DevOps methodologies including infrastructure automation, continuous integration, and automated deployments.
• Engage in design, development, review, and testing phases related to application and data modernization.
• Ensure data storage and processing operate efficiently, adhering to corporate security standards and cloud security best practices.
• Offer advanced software architecture expertise focusing on cloud architecture and design patterns.
• Detect, analyze, and resolve vulnerabilities in infrastructure and rectify application deployment challenges.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and development teams to identify optimal cloud-based solutions.
• Develop and implement a strategy to modernize applications and transition them to Azure.
• Utilize Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure Policy, Blueprints, and other tools in integrated deployment pipelines for new Azure solutions.
• Contribute actively to internal research and development projects and engage with the wider professional community.
• Comply strictly with company and client information security policies at all times.
• Maintain current technical certifications to deliver expert consulting to potential customers.
• Lead technical discussions during sales engagements.

Requirements

• Proficiency with AI tools and practical experience developing AI proof-of-concept or production applications.
• Strong capabilities as a Full-Stack Developer.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, is preferred.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices is advantageous.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates should possess a minimum of five years’ experience in full stack software development.
