Role Overview

As an AI / ML Lead Consultant, you will lead client projects centered around modern data platforms, Machine Learning, and Generative AI on Google Cloud. Your role merges technical leadership, architectural accountability, and delivery management to guide clients from strategic ideation to scalable, production-grade solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements in Google Cloud Data, AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI domains.
• Conduct workshops on data architecture, AI/ML, and Generative AI for clients.
• Design and implement tailored solution architectures based on customer requirements, business objectives, and technical constraints.
• Oversee delivery teams ensuring the successful execution of client projects.
• Create solution architecture documents, technical designs, and implementation roadmaps.
• Support building end-to-end data and AI pipelines on Google Cloud.
• Assist clients in industrializing AI use cases and transitioning prototypes into production-ready systems.
• Develop and implement MLOps/LLMOps practices, including CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Advise clients on modern AI patterns such as large language model integration, retrieval-augmented generation architectures, prompt engineering, and foundation model adoption.
• Collaborate with data engineers and developers to build scalable, cloud-native solutions.
• Contribute to developing internal frameworks, offerings, service domains, and reusable assets.
• Support pre-sales, business development, and proposal activities.
• Coach and mentor junior consultants and engineers.
• Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Over 5 years' experience in data science, machine learning, AI engineering, or a similar consulting role.
• Proven hands-on experience deploying solutions on Google Cloud Platform or comparable cloud technologies.
• Extensive expertise designing and implementing complex technical architectures.
• Practical knowledge of Vertex AI, Gemini models, and related cloud AI services.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R.
• Solid foundation in machine learning and AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, or LangGraph.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for data and ML projects.
• Familiarity with DBT and/or Dataform.
• Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.

Preferred Skills

• Good understanding of MLOps tools and best practices.
• Experience with Generative AI applications in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation architectures, vector databases, and AI application monitoring.
• Experience with Docker, APIs, and modern software engineering practices.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Hive.
• Expertise in NLP, computer vision, or advanced analytics.
• Contributions to open-source projects or publications in relevant conferences or journals.
• Two or more certifications in GCP, AWS, or Azure architecture and/or machine learning.
