Job Overview
Barrick Mining Corporation's Lumwana Mining Company is looking to hire dedicated and motivated Administration Clerks to join their dynamic Process Team in Kalumbila, North-Western Province, Zambia. Key Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain operational records including permits, safety documentation, and training files.
- Draft official correspondence such as letters, memos, and meeting minutes and disseminate them to relevant stakeholders.
- Record and verify employee and contractor timesheets, attendance, and overtime submissions.
- Manage shift schedules and leave calendars, coordinating updates with supervisors.
- Initiate purchase requisitions, process goods receipts, and manage service entries adhering to company procedures.
- Monitor purchase orders, follow up with vendors, and coordinate receipt of deliveries including PPE and stationery.
- Handle invoice processing, statement reconciliation, and assist with cost allocation tasks.
- Coordinate employee and contractor inductions, access permits, and medical or fitness appointments.
- Document incidents, track action items, facilitate inspections, and log toolbox meeting attendance.
- Arrange travel, accommodation, transportation, and maintain visitor logs for the site.
- Utilize MS Office applications and internal systems like SAP and SharePoint to ensure data accuracy and reporting.
Candidate Requirements
- Completion of Grade Twelve School Certificate.
- At least one year of experience in a clerical role, preferably within mining or maintenance sectors.
- Certificate in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification.
- Familiarity with mining equipment maintenance parts and consumables is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and practical exposure to SAP systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and precision.
- Capability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced maintenance environment.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
