Accounts Payable Accountant

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Accountant to take ownership of supplier payments and inventory-related accounting for fashion retail and e-commerce businesses. The position suits someone who is comfortable working with import-intensive supply chains and a fast-moving retail setup.

Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and process supplier invoices from both local and overseas fashion vendors, making sure entries are correct and aligned with company procedures.
• Run payment cycles for domestic and international suppliers, monitor credit terms and due dates, and sort out invoice or payment mismatches.
• Manage import and inventory accounting tasks, including landed cost computation and reconciliation of duties.
• Carry out payroll processing and ensure employee salaries are paid correctly and on schedule.
• Handle intercompany accounting and support financial processing across multiple countries and group entities.
• Record and distribute expenses accurately against the appropriate cost centers.
• Manage petty cash and assist with month-end closing activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a Master’s degree will be considered an advantage.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in fashion retail, e-commerce, distribution, or trading.
• Strong background in import accounting, inventory valuation, and supplier reconciliations.
• Advanced-level Excel capability.
• Hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as ERPNext, SAP B1, Dynamics, Oracle, Tally Prime, or Odoo.
• Professional qualifications such as CMA, ACCA, CA Inter, or an equivalent certification are preferred.
