Accounts Executive / Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a driven Accounts Executive eager to grow into leadership roles such as Finance Manager, Controller, and ultimately CFO. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with numbers, improving systems, ensuring compliance, enhancing processes, and contributing to smarter financial decision-making within a dynamic healthcare communications company.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks using software like Tally and Zoho Books.
• Reconcile bank statements regularly and manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently.
• Prepare journal entries and review ledger details while supporting monthly and yearly financial closures.
• Handle GST reconciliations, file appropriate returns, manage TDS calculations and filings, and ensure vendor compliance documentation is complete and accurate.
• Coordinate with chartered accountants, auditors, and support filing of company regulatory documents such as ROC filings.
• Generate monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports, analyze cash flow, budget versus actuals, profitability, and expenses for management dashboards.
• Maintain impeccable financial data accuracy by developing and implementing internal controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs), preventing discrepancies, and increasing automation in finance workflows.
• Manage vendor relationships through onboarding, KYC verification, scheduling payments, verifying expenses, managing contracts and purchase documentation, and maintaining strong vendor partnerships.
• Support project initiation processes by creating projects in internal systems, ensuring commercial approvals, raising invoices, coordinating with operations for closures, and tracking project costs and profitability.

Professional Growth & Development

As part of this role, you will progressively develop skills in financial planning, budgeting, managing working capital, business analytics, optimizing costs, pricing strategies, financial forecasting, dashboard creation, investor and bank reporting, and supporting strategic decisions.

Candidate Profile

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor or Master of Commerce; CA Intermediate or CMA Intermediate preferred; MBA in Finance is advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Solid understanding of accounting principles, GST and TDS regulations, advanced Excel capabilities, proficiency with Tally and/or Zoho Books, strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, process-driven approach, and excellent documentation abilities.
• Personal Attributes: Honest, trustworthy, well-organized, numbers-oriented, curious, eager to learn, accountable, able to remain calm under pressure, continuously seeks improvement with a focus on a long-term finance career.
