Accountant

About the Role

Aroura Fruit Industry seeks a meticulous and accountable professional to oversee financial records, ensure statutory compliance, and manage everyday accounting operations. This full-time position is based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and reports directly to the Accounts Manager or management team. Candidates with backgrounds in manufacturing accounts, GST, TDS, banking transactions, and accounting software like Tally Prime are especially encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
• Prepare journal entries, ledgers, and trial balances; reconcile accounts of customers and vendors.
• Manage GST compliance by preparing and filing returns, performing reconciliations with GSTR-2B and purchase documents.
• Calculate and ensure timely deduction of TDS; assist in income tax and statutory compliance requirements.
• Conduct daily bank reconciliations and handle electronic payment modes such as NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, and UPI.
• Maintain cash book and petty cash accounts; monitor collection from customers and payments to vendors.
• Generate tax invoices, debit and credit notes; verify purchase invoices and maintain systematic filing of accounting records.
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers to resolve payment queries.
• Verify stock valuation and inventory records; coordinate with stores and production departments.
• Prepare production cost reports and carry out inventory reconciliations; monitor accounting for raw materials and finished goods.
• Prepare monthly management information system (MIS) reports and assist in the preparation of profit & loss accounts and balance sheets.
• Support internal and statutory audit processes and generate necessary management reporting.

Candidate Profile and Expertise

• 2 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven proficiency with Tally Prime software.
• Solid understanding of GST, TDS, and overall taxation norms.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formula use.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Outlook applications.
• Strong numeric, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality rigorously.

Additional Preferred Knowledge

• Manufacturing and inventory accounting practices.
• Experience in bank reconciliation and costing.
• Preparation of MIS reports.
• Familiarity with E-Way Bill and E-Invoice generation processes.

Compensation

Salary is offered competitively and will correspond to experience and the company's standards, typically ranging between INR 18,000 to INR 25,000 per month.
