Role Overview

The Accountant will oversee daily financial activities including recording business transactions, managing ledgers, and generating financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Key duties involve managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, supervising cash flows, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes.

Ensuring adherence to both local and international accounting standards forms a vital part of the role. Additional responsibilities include supporting internal and external audit procedures, preparing taxation documents, and filing VAT and Corporate Tax returns for the UAE and Saudi Arabia within stipulated deadlines, thereby complying with statutory and regulatory demands.

This full-time position is located at the company’s Dubai office, requiring collaboration with operations and management teams to deliver precise financial insights and back informed decision-making.

Candidate Qualifications

• Solid grasp of accounting standards, financial reporting, and ledger management.
• Proficiency with accounting software, preferably ERP systems, alongside advanced MS Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting.
• Practical experience handling accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
• Knowledgeable in UAE VAT filing, UAE Corporate Tax filing, and Saudi Arabian VAT filing, with in-depth understanding of GCC tax rules and statutory compliance.
• Acquainted with tax laws, compliance protocols, and audit procedures in the UAE and Saudi Arabia preferred.
• Meticulous attention to detail paired with excellent organizational abilities to meet tight deadlines in a fast-moving setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate across finance and operational units.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or CMA are an added benefit.
• Previous work experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain sectors is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 3–5 years’ relevant accounting experience, ideally within the UAE and GCC regions.
