Punjabi Transcription & Annotation Executive Intern

About the internship

This work-from-home internship is for Punjabi language candidates who are eager to support AI data and language services. The role focuses on producing accurate Punjabi transcripts, handling audio annotation and speech-data tasks, and contributing to AI training datasets with strong quality control.

What you will do

• Convert Punjabi audio into clear, accurate written text.
• Carry out audio labeling tasks such as annotation, segmentation, speaker tagging, and related classification work.
• Check recordings for audio clarity and flag sections where speech is missing, unclear, or difficult to understand.
• Work according to project-specific transcription and annotation standards.
• Keep output consistent and maintain a high level of transcription accuracy across all assigned work.
• Review and polish transcripts before sending them in.
• Track daily progress and meet assigned output targets within deadlines.
• Coordinate with project managers for revisions, updates, and task clarifications.
• Protect the confidentiality of client material, audio files, and project details.
• Support AI language dataset creation while upholding quality requirements.

Who can apply

Applicants must be available for a remote internship, able to begin between 5 July 2026 and 9 August 2026, and willing to commit to a 2-month duration. Candidates should have relevant skills and interest in language work, along with strong Punjabi comprehension and writing ability.

Requirements

• Strong Punjabi language ability, including speaking, reading, writing, and listening comprehension.
• Good transcription, annotation, proofreading, and editing skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy across repetitive tasks.
• Basic computer skills and access to a laptop or desktop with stable internet.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
• Native or fluent Punjabi speakers are preferred.
• Experience in transcription, annotation, AI data collection, or related language projects is an advantage.
• Freshers with excellent Punjabi proficiency are welcome.
• Candidates should be disciplined, responsible, and quality-oriented.

Additional information

Stipend: INR 7,000 to 24,000 per month.

Stipend structure: Fixed pay of INR 5,000 to 15,000 per month plus incentive pay of INR 2,000 to 9,000 per month.
