Workplace Ambassador

Work Location and Hours

This position is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours.

Role Overview

The Workplace Ambassador serves as the vital presence within our office environment, ensuring each floor feels welcoming and engaging. This active, mobile position involves maintaining a polished workplace, assisting colleagues, and fostering a supportive atmosphere throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cafés, coffee stations, inclusive areas, and meeting rooms to ensure they are welcoming and visitor-ready at all times.
• Manage café and coffee operations including inventory supervision and restocking.
• Keep common spaces tidy, organized, and appropriately stocked to uphold a positive environment.
• Ensure meeting rooms are set up and reset promptly with proactive inspections.
• Identify and resolve any facility issues through regular walkthroughs and coordination of cleaning or repairs.
• Assist colleagues by acting as a visible and accessible support resource on the floor, helping with navigation and daily workplace needs.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to enhance day-to-day workplace functions and create a friendly, approachable presence.
• Support workplace programming and corporate events through setup, catering coordination, and on-site assistance, ensuring seamless event experiences.
• Perform duties such as moving flexible furniture and arranging rooms to required layouts.
• Welcome visitors and provide guidance or wayfinding assistance.
• Manage facility and technology service requests effectively.
• Optionally serve as Fire Warden or First Aid Representative, with training provided.

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to remain active and visible across multiple floors throughout the day, with comfort standing for extended periods.
• Capability to lift and transport supplies up to 50 pounds.
• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in office administration, hospitality, workplace services, or related areas.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize within a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, adaptable, and service-oriented attitude aligned with hospitality principles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with diverse colleagues.
• Experience working in a dynamic, high-visibility corporate setting.
• Tech proficient, notably with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $43,900 to $58,600 CAD annually. Compensation reflects experience, knowledge, location, and business needs, with opportunities for growth within the salary band as skills and roles progress.
