Our Brisbane site is a modern facility producing over 57,000 tons annually, including R&D labs, quality control, training centers, and headquarters. Role Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse tasks, team management, inventory monitoring, and safety compliance. This role requires direct involvement in warehouse operations and developing operational policies. Active participation in team activities is crucial.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and delegate daily warehouse and team tasks ensuring safety, efficiency, and timely completion
- Assist recruitment, employee training, scheduling, and provide ongoing team support and feedback
- Coordinate with other departments for shipping logistics, issue resolution, and maintain positive interdepartmental relations
- Lead stocktaking and inventory management activities
- Complete all administrative duties accurately within required deadlines
- Perform daily safety inspections to uphold workplace safety standards
- Monitor and verify inventory levels through routine stock checks and reconciliation
- Oversee cycle count processes and address stock location inconsistencies
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least 2 years' experience supervising warehouse teams or in similar leadership roles
- Experience in goods receiving and inventory control systems for a minimum of 2 years
- Forklift license is mandatory
- Background in manufacturing environments is highly desired
- Proficiency in inventory management and warehouse stock control principles
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP software
- Strong leadership and personnel management capabilities
- Understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance requirements
- Knowledgeable in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) laws and safe warehouse procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to accuracy and detail
- Effective problem-solving skills and physical ability for manual handling tasks
