Role Summary
We are seeking a Vice President of Solution Delivery to lead and expand the customer services department that supports our SaaS platform within the life sciences industry. This executive role reports directly to the CEO and manages all facets of customer-facing services including onboarding, implementation, support, training, and custom integrations to deepen engagement with enterprise and mid-market clients. The position demands accountability for delivering scalable, high-quality solutions driving company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full P&L responsibility for Solution Delivery, overseeing diverse engagement models to enhance profitability and predictability.
- Collaborate with Finance to establish operational frameworks for pricing, staffing, and revenue recognition to treat delivery as a business.
- Define and monitor service performance metrics to ensure effective solution delivery.
- Lead and develop cross-functional teams across project management, solution architecture, managed services, training, and customer support.
- Orchestrate organizational development plans, hiring, and career progression to support scaling efforts.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product Engineering to maintain consistent and effective client engagement strategies.
- Promote a culture of accountability, customer focus, and operational excellence within the delivery teams.
- Serve as a strategic partner in enterprise sales cycles, offering technical expertise and insight to close and grow accounts.
- Identify and nurture expansion opportunities inside existing accounts and collaborate with sales teams to capitalize on them.
- Act as an executive-level escalation point and relationship steward for major client partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of leadership experience in services or delivery operations with direct P&L ownership.
- Background in life sciences services organizations, such as contract research organizations or similarly regulated environments.
- Relevant academic qualifications in Business, Life Sciences, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Proven experience in growing and scaling service delivery teams efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to serve enterprise and mid-market clients effectively.
- Excellent communication and relationship management capabilities.
- Experience managing operations across multiple regions or global markets.
- Track record as a trusted advisor within sales engagements.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with regulatory or science-based content workflows related to medical products, pharmacovigilance, or systematic reviews.
- Exposure to enterprise SaaS or software services alongside life sciences industry experience.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from $160,928 to $185,067 annually, with compensation calibrated to candidate experience and fit. We offer flexibility for negotiation to ensure a competitive package.
