About the Programme
Abbott offers an Undergraduate Internship Programme designed to provide students with an opportunity to apply their studies in real-world settings, gain hands-on experience, and participate in projects driving health care innovations. This programme is intended for students in fields including Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and other STEM disciplines, supporting their growth, skill development, and career progression.
Opportunities and Experience
Interns will engage in meaningful projects, supported by experienced professionals, gaining exposure across a variety of business functions. Engineering interns may work in areas such as process, project management, automation, facilities, maintenance, packaging, and research and development activities. The length of internships may be six, nine, or twelve months, according to academic and business needs.

Candidate Profile
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate engineering degree.
- On track to achieve, or has achieved, a minimum 2.1 degree classification.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and analytical abilities.
- Motivated, curious, and eager to learn and innovate.
- Passionate about STEM, healthcare, and innovation.
- Collaborative and takes ownership of tasks.
- Available for 6, 9, or 12-month placements aligned with academic requirements.
- Flexible to be placed at any Abbott location in Ireland to maximize exposure and development.
