UI / React JS Developer

Role Summary

This position involves developing and sustaining responsive web applications using React JS, ensuring high performance, scalability, and responsiveness. The role requires translating UI/UX designs into clean code, working closely with various teams, and maintaining an optimal front-end architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage responsive web applications leveraging React JS technology.
• Design and build reusable UI components and frontend libraries for future application expansions.
• Convert UI/UX wireframes and designs into efficient, maintainable code.
• Integrate frontend interfaces with RESTful APIs and backend services seamlessly.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and responsiveness across devices.
• Guarantee compatibility across different browsers and ensure mobile-friendly layouts.
• Engage in code reviews while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues and improve performance where necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, QA testers, and backend developers.
• Implement robust state management and sustain the overall application structure.
• Develop unit and integration tests to uphold software quality.
• Keep abreast of emerging frontend technology trends, especially within the React ecosystem.

Technical Expertise

• Proficiency in React JS and strong JavaScript knowledge (ES6+).
• Comprehensive understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
• Experience working with React Hooks, Functional Components, and component lifecycle methods.
• Familiarity with state management tools such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, and Context API.
• Competence in consuming and integrating REST APIs.
• Knowledge of frontend build tools including Webpack, Vite, and Babel.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Understanding of techniques to optimize frontend performance.
• Skill with testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library.
• Awareness of modern frontend development best practices and architectural design patterns.

Preferred Skills

• TypeScript experience.
• Familiarity with Next.js framework.
• Use of UI libraries such as Material UI, Ant Design, Bootstrap, and Tailwind CSS.
• Knowledge of GraphQL and Apollo Client integration.
• Working with Micro Frontend architectures.
• Understanding of accessibility guidelines like WCAG.
• Knowledge of authentication protocols including OAuth, JWT, and Single Sign-On.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Working knowledge of Docker and containerized deployment methods.
• Exposure to Agile development environments.
• Experience utilizing performance monitoring and debugging tools.

Additional Information

The contract duration for this role is 12 months and is located onsite in Sydney, NSW. Candidates should have a minimum of 9 years of relevant professional experience.
