About the Role
Termite Technicians are essential in safeguarding residential and commercial properties from termite infestations and wood-destroying organisms. As the primary defense, they perform inspections, treatments, and preventative measures to ensure customer properties remain protected, offering peace of mind to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose termite infestations by understanding termite behavior and determining appropriate remediation steps.
- Apply termite treatments safely, adhering to company protocols and safety standards.
- Execute anti-termite applications on structures following schedules and product label guidelines.
- Inform customers about conditions conducive to termites and discuss potential treatments or structural changes to enhance protection.
- Confirm that job instructions are suitable for each work order.
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and pest control equipment properly.
- Fill out documentation accurately regarding services performed.
- Engage with customers to clarify services delivered and answer related questions.
Job Requirements
- Comfortable working in diverse environmental conditions including varying seasonal weather and confined or dusty areas.
- Ability to prepare sites for treatment and maneuver in crawl spaces, on ladders (up to 20 feet), roofs, and stairs.
- Perform physically demanding tasks involving climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, often in tight spaces.
- Must wear personal protective equipment such as OSHA-approved respirators.
- General experience with labor tasks like carpentry, cement work, roofing, and gutter maintenance is advantageous.
- Clean-shaven face required to ensure PPE seal integrity.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have valid driver’s license from the state of residence; company provides vehicle and gas card.
- Minimum one year of customer service experience; termite control experience is preferred.
- Strong detail orientation and eagerness to learn.
- Flexible availability Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays.
- Compliance with licensing and certification requirements as mandated by regulations, with support provided.
- Basic arithmetic skills necessary for following product mixing instructions.
