Technical Lead/Manager/Director of Engineering - Cloud AI Healthcare Solutions

About the Role

We are recruiting a seasoned Technical Lead, Manager, or Director of Engineering to spearhead the design and delivery of scalable, secure AI-driven enterprise applications hosted on Microsoft Azure. This pivotal role blends strategic technology leadership with hands-on operational guidance, shaping the technology roadmap and driving innovations that serve the US healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

• Own the full technical architecture of AI-based enterprise software solutions on Microsoft Azure, ensuring robust scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Engage actively with the engineering team by reviewing code, debugging critical issues, and making detailed architectural decisions.
• Champion AI and cloud strategy by leading deployment and governance of Large Language Model (LLM) and AI-incorporated solutions that satisfy enterprise criteria for reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage Azure enterprise operations, including configuration and maintenance of Azure App Services, virtual machines, databases, and AI/ML tools in production.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, clinical experts, and business partners to transform requirements into coherent technical roadmaps and deliverable plans.
• Establish and maintain engineering best practices, including code quality standards, system monitoring, incident response protocols, and continual process improvements.
• Mentor and develop engineering personnel, cultivate a strong engineering culture, and build organizational capabilities to support growth.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in enterprise software development, with at least 5 years in technical leadership or architect roles, preferably within startup environments.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing cloud-native applications on Azure or AWS, including deep AI and LLM integration experience.
• Strong technical skills in Python, ReactJS, FastAPI, and MongoDB or CosmosDB.
• Track record of steering engineering teams through uncertainty and rapid expansion, demonstrating initiative and decisive leadership.
• Extensive knowledge of US healthcare technology standards, particularly compliance and data security regulations such as HIPAA and SOC 2.
• A proactive, ownership-driven approach to achieving high standards and delivering polished, complete products.
