Teaching Assistant

Role Overview

We are looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants (TAs) who are enthusiastic about mentoring mid-career professionals as they acquire and apply new digital skills. As a TA, you will provide critical support that helps learners transition effectively into new career avenues by guiding them through their education journey.

Key Duties

• Assist trainers by facilitating interactive online sessions on platforms like Zoom, including managing breakout rooms and engaging trainees with polls, games, and simulations.
• Communicate with trainees before, during, and after classes through chat, email, and other communication channels to relay session information and respond to queries, escalating more complex questions to trainers when necessary.
• Lead group tutorials and coaching sessions, supporting trainees with course content, assignments, and encouraging collaborative discussions.
• Provide personalized coaching to motivate and assist trainees who may be struggling to keep up, helping them maintain pace.
• Keep track of attendance and assessment data to identify at-risk trainees and offer focused assistance to improve their educational outcomes.
• Provide frequent feedback to trainers about trainee progress, session management, and the effectiveness of materials to support ongoing program enhancement.
• Collaborate with trainers in grading assessments promptly and accurately.
• Participate in process reviews and suggest improvements to ensure a quality learning environment.

Working Relationships

TAs will report to the Track Lead and Learner Excellence Lead, also collaborating closely with experts across content, operations, placement, and marketing teams.

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of coaching and mentoring learners effectively.
• Highly disciplined and process-driven, with professionalism that reflects the organization's values and a strong commitment to continual learning.
• Advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Experienced in using digital tools such as Zoom, Miro, Trello, and quick to adapt to new software.
• Competent in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Collaborative team player with pride in ownership of responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in training or coaching, especially with mid-career or senior-level professionals.
• Background in business fields such as MBA or relevant industry exposure.
• Familiarity with subjects like Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, or Digital Transformation.
• Experience using learning management systems (LMS) or other e-learning platforms.
• Basic skills in data analysis and generating reports to monitor learner progress.
