Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate Suiteur·euse to join our energetic team. This pivotal role involves coordinating in-room service operations by ensuring timely and temperature-appropriate delivery of dishes. Close collaboration with servers and kitchen staff is required. Anticipating guest needs, managing order timing, and maintaining impeccable dish presentation standards are essential for delivering an exceptional dining experience. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are vital.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate orders to the chef and kitchen brigade efficiently.
- Ensure consistency in dish appearance and warmth before sending them out.
- Clear tables and assist with service tasks when necessary.
- Support kitchen staff as needed with excellent communication.
- Exhibit discretion, agility, and dexterity while moving through the dining area to maintain smooth service.
- Oversee adherence to plating presentation, cleanliness, and quality standards, making decisions on what dishes are sent out.
- Manage mise en place for kitchen pass and dining service stations.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace consistently.
- Maintain thorough product knowledge to ensure quick and accurate dish inspection.
- Maintain a professional appearance and warmly welcome guests, ensuring they feel valued.
- Be knowledgeable about hotel offerings and schedules to provide comprehensive information to guests.
Additional flexibility and versatility beyond these duties are expected.
Requirements
- Diploma in hospitality or at least one year of experience in high-volume restaurants or reputable hotels.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Energetic with stamina and availability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English for effective communication with an international clientele.
- Consistent maintenance of high service standards.
- Passionate, energetic, professional demeanor with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Strong culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork.
- Disciplined and process-oriented, able to work calmly under all circumstances.
