Stock Coordinator

Role Overview

The Stock Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing merchandise within the store environment. This position entails receiving, inspecting, storing inventory, and maintaining precise stock records. Additionally, the coordinator helps in organizing products and ensures their smooth transition from storage areas to the sales floor. Collaboration with store management and sales teams is key to maintaining high organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive merchandise shipments and verify quantities both physically and electronically to confirm data accuracy.
• Examine product quality and report any damaged items to the store manager or assistant manager.
• Handle and store stock appropriately to avoid product damage.
• Sort and arrange products in the stockroom according to store procedures to guarantee quick accessibility.
• Label new stock arrivals and process returns following directives from senior staff.
• Support sales associates by replenishing shelf stock to maintain product availability.
• Remain vigilant regarding store security at all times, preventing any oversight.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within the stockroom.
• Be prepared to work extended hours during sales or festival periods.
• Physically capable of lifting weights up to approximately 10 kilograms.
• Keep accurate records of all inventory movements and produce related reports.
• Identify and report any missing price tags.
• Provide assistance during inventory stock-taking activities.

Candidate Profile

The preferred candidate will have robust organizational capabilities and familiarity with warehouse management systems to efficiently track and oversee stock levels. Prior experience in a comparable role within stock, warehouse, or logistics operations is advantageous.
