Role Overview
The Stage Manager will take responsibility for planning and interpreting the themes of various performances, ensuring cohesive rehearsals and smooth production processes. This role involves overseeing all rehearsal activities, coordinating technical and artistic efforts, as well as managing production costs and reporting outcomes to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and summarize the plots and symbolism of performance scripts.
- Plan and organize all rehearsal sessions, overseeing their technical execution.
- Ensure rehearsals adhere to artistic directions, arranging additional rehearsals if necessary.
- Lead and attend all production meetings, ensuring timely completion of production tasks.
- Facilitate communication between technical and artistic teams to ensure deadlines are met.
- Monitor production expenses to keep them within the allocated budget.
- Prepare detailed reports on production revenues for management review.
- Observe audience reactions during performances and provide feedback for future improvement.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of five years’ experience in stage management.
- Exceptional skills in planning and coordinating activities with precision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Chinese arts and culture.
- Familiarity with performing arts is beneficial.
