Job Overview
The Specialist Supply Chain role is responsible for overseeing supplier relationships, evaluating supplier performance, managing contract administration, and handling operational supply activities to ensure smooth execution of procurement tasks from sourcing through monitoring. This position supports governance, cross-departmental collaboration, and continuous process improvements while adhering to corporate procurement policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main operational liaison managing relationships with assigned suppliers.
- Coordinate processes for supplier onboarding, qualification, documentation, and compliance.
- Track supplier KPIs, Service Level Agreements, corrective action plans, and initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
- Assist with sourcing activities including Requests for Quotations/Proposals, commercial assessments, and negotiation support.
- Oversee procurement contract administration and ensure fulfillment of contractual commitments.
- Maintain transparency over purchase requests, RFPs, purchase orders, execution phases, acceptance, invoicing, and payments.
- Organize and lead Cross-Functional Team meetings, track actions, and ensure follow-ups.
- Enforce procurement governance principles such as No PR–No Work and No PO–No Work policies.
- Generate supplier performance reports, dashboards, and presentations for management review.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements and support procurement digital transformation efforts.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or related fields.
- Certification from CIPS or ISM is advantageous.
- 4 to 6 years experience in procurement, supplier management, or supply operations.
- Experience in the telecommunications or infrastructure sectors is preferred.
- Strong functional knowledge including supplier relationship and performance management, contract administration, procurement compliance, and governance.
- Proficient in ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Competency in Power BI and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
