Job Overview

Join St. Regis Hotels & Resorts as a Specialist in IT Cluster located at The Pearl Island, Doha, Qatar. This full-time, non-management role involves comprehensive duties related to computer networks, systems, and user support within a prestigious hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, manage, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair computer networks and workstations.
• Support server systems, hardware, software, user accounts, and manage computer and telephone rooms.
• Train users on proper system use and security protocols.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving hardware, software, LAN, WAN, and internet.
• Respond to program error messages and provide network communication support and technical guidance.
• Refer significant problems to external vendors or technicians.
• Analyze and recommend process improvements; implement enhancements accordingly.
• Assess and resolve computing needs and system requirements in collaboration with other stakeholders.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose computer equipment and systems regularly.
• Plan and coordinate installations, moves, additions, changes, and system upgrades related to IT equipment.
• Manage network security and plan disk space allocation across the network.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all technological devices.
• Execute commands and controls on various computing equipment.
• Ensure backup tapes are secured in fireproof safes.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and safety regulations; report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
• Maintain confidentiality of company information and protect company assets.
• Address guest service needs and assist co-workers as necessary.
• Maintain professional communication standards including telephone etiquette.
• Serve as a role model and first point of contact regarding the company's Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
• Foster positive working relationships to meet team and organizational objectives.
• Strive to meet quality standards and propose innovations to improve organizational efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling objects up to 50 pounds and moving throughout the facility.
• Use computers and Point of Sale (POS) systems to enter and retrieve information.
• Perform any other duties reasonably assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Educational background from a Technical, Trade, or Vocational School.
• Minimum of two years of experience in related IT fields.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific licenses or certifications mandated.
