Soldering Operator

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Soldering Operator to manually solder electronic components onto printed circuit boards and assemblies in compliance with quality standards. The ideal candidate will have relevant technical education and hands-on experience in soldering processes within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual soldering of electronic components on PCBs and assemblies accurately.
• Interpret work instructions, assembly drawings, and bills of materials effectively.
• Inspect solder joints to ensure quality and detect defects such as cold joints, solder bridges, or insufficient solder.
• Conduct rework and repairs on faulty solder joints as necessary.
• Adhere to electrostatic discharge (ESD) safety protocols while handling sensitive components.
• Operate and maintain soldering tools and equipment appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area while complying with safety guidelines.
• Contribute to meeting production targets without compromising quality and efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Completed ITI in Electronics, Electrical, Fitter trade or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field.
• Proficient in hand soldering techniques and familiar with soldering tools.
• Basic knowledge of electronic components and PCB assembly processes.
• Understanding of ESD precautions and compliance with quality standards.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Basic problem-solving capabilities and good communication skills.
