Role Overview
This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in Adelaide, South Australia. The role sits within a collaborative global environment where you will help design and deliver ServiceNow solutions that support operational reliability, automation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Track incident, problem, and service request queues so that tickets are completed within agreed service levels.
- Carry out routine patching, monitoring, and annual platform upgrades to keep the ServiceNow environment stable and supportable.
- Build, test, and deploy ServiceNow solutions from business requirement specifications.
- Partner with business analysts and project managers to provide technical direction and expert recommendations.
- Deliver end-to-end ServiceNow solutions as a consultant, including concept design, platform configuration, enhancements, release management, and implementation.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow screens, forms, workflows, dashboards, reports, data imports, integrations, and scripts.
- Identify improvement opportunities and suggest practical fixes to strengthen service delivery.
- Support Agile delivery practices and ensure compliance with ITIL processes.
- Maintain thorough testing procedures for releases and platform upgrades to protect compatibility and system stability.
- Coach junior ServiceNow specialists when needed and create knowledge articles consistently after development and implementation work.
- Document all aspects of the ServiceNow implementation and keep the knowledge base current and accurate.
- Promote automation and innovation efforts, including digitization discussions, journey planning, and delivery input.
- Collect automation requirements from customers and translate them into use cases.
- Work with technical automation teams to map solutions to use cases and help design automation flow diagrams for custom solutions.
- Perform data extraction and reporting to assess outcomes such as benchmarking, value realization, adoption, and AI autonomous solution effectiveness.
- Automate reporting flows using Power Automate or ServiceNow Flow Designer.
- Look for ways to improve ROI, benefits realization, adoption, and zero-touch performance.
- Carry out other tasks assigned by the ServiceNow Lead.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow administration, configuration, upgrades, development, or implementation.
- Practical knowledge of ITSM modules, integrations, ITOM, Discovery, Asset Management, Self Service, and Service Catalog.
- Experience with custom application development, CSM, and portal design.
- Java and Python scripting experience is strongly preferred.
- Proven exposure to Power Platform or comparable low-code tools.
- Strong understanding of application development and configuration practices.
- Familiarity with the ServiceNow Support Portal (HI Portal) used for support management.
