Role Overview
The Server position is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi. Responsibilities include greeting guests, presenting menus, accurately taking orders, and serving food and beverages promptly and courteously. Additional duties consist of setting and clearing tables, maintaining cleanliness of the dining area, coordinating with kitchen personnel, and handling payments using the restaurant's point-of-sale system. The Server will respond to guest inquiries about menu options, accommodate special requests when feasible, and strictly follow food safety and hygiene regulations. Flexible shift work is required along with maintaining a professional appearance and fostering a positive experience for guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in front-of-house roles such as server or waitstaff, ideally in restaurant, café, or hotel environments.
- Excellent customer service capabilities including clear communication, active listening, and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to manage multiple tables and responsibilities simultaneously with focus on accuracy and detail.
- Knowledge of basic food and beverage service protocols, menu items, and operating POS systems.
- Strong commitment to cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with food and workplace safety standards.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, safely carry trays or plates, and work efficiently in fast-paced settings.
- Dependable time management, with willingness to work shifts covering evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certifications or formal training are a plus.
- Comfortable working within diverse teams and respectful interaction with guests from varied backgrounds.
