Role Overview

The Senior Pattern Master is responsible for transforming design concepts into precise, production-ready patterns. This role entails crafting initial patterns manually from sketches, overseeing fit and quality, guiding junior pattern makers, and ensuring each garment meets the brand's standards from conception to manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Manually develop initial patterns based on design sketches and technical documents.
• Accurately cut high-quality fabrics, optimizing material usage and reducing waste.
• Create and grade production patterns across the complete size spectrum.
• Participate in fitting sessions alongside the design team to implement necessary adjustments until final approval.
• Establish and update a consistent block and fit library.
• Collaborate with production teams and suppliers to guarantee manufacturability and correctness of patterns.
• Mentor and supervise junior pattern makers, reviewing their output.
• Address challenges related to construction and fit while upholding brand quality standards.

Candidate Profile

• At least 7 years of experience in pattern making, including roles with senior or leadership responsibilities.
• Expertise in manual pattern cutting and grading techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of garment construction, fit dynamics, and fabric properties.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a stringent quality mindset.
• Experience in mentoring or leading small teams.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate seamlessly with design and production departments.
