About the Role
The Senior Manager, Operations & Compliance, will spearhead excellence in operations, assure regulatory compliance, and manage organizational risks. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the consistent day-to-day operational success and compliance with internal protocols and external regulations. The incumbent will also drive initiatives for continual enhancement of efficiency, quality, and governance standards. Collaborating extensively with teams in Operations, Finance, Legal, HR, Quality, and IT, they will develop scalable systems, mitigate risks, and support the company's expansion objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and oversee daily operational activities across divisions, guaranteeing that service quality, productivity, and performance goals are achieved consistently.
- Create and roll out standardized workflows, performance benchmarks, and SOPs to heighten operational uniformity and efficiency.
- Manage capacity planning, resource distribution, and forecasting to align with growth strategies and priorities.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives leveraging methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to minimize waste, simplify processes, and elevate customer satisfaction.
- Ensure unwavering regulatory and policy compliance by coordinating audits, compliance monitoring, and corrective action plans.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes, and update operational policies and training programs proactively to maintain readiness.
- Conduct risk evaluations, incident investigations, and root cause analyses to bolster organizational resilience and prevent recurrence.
- Work in tandem with Legal, HR, Finance, and Quality teams to integrate operational practices with corporate governance standards.
- Support initiatives related to new product launches, system integrations, and organizational changes ensuring operational and compliance adherence.
- Lead multi-disciplinary committees focusing on compliance, safety, quality, and operational transformation.
- Direct, mentor, and develop a team of operations and compliance specialists fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous growth.
- Develop training programs centered on compliance knowledge, operational excellence, and process rigor.
- Set performance standards and nurture talent to build a leadership pipeline.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in operations, compliance, quality, or risk management fields.
- Exposure to regulated sectors such as consumer packaged goods, manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, or financial services is advantageous.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory environments, audit procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing operations over multiple sites.
- Proficiency in process improvement methods including Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
- Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving aptitude, and exceptional communication skills.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Compliance, Engineering, or related disciplines is required; advanced degrees or certifications like PMP, Lean Six Sigma, CRMP, or CCO are preferred.
