Job Summary

We are looking for a meticulous and skilled Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. This role is essential for monitoring, examining, and responding rapidly to security incidents to protect our organization’s data and resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor security alerts from diverse sources including SIEM platforms.
• Swiftly investigate and address security incidents.
• Perform detailed analysis on security events to detect threats and weaknesses.
• Leverage threat intelligence tools to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
• Stay updated with the latest vulnerabilities, security threats, and best industry practices.
• Create and update detection rules and signatures to boost threat identification.
• Collaborate closely with IT and security units for efficient incident resolution.
• Support incident response efforts to contain and neutralize security risks.
• Maintain thorough documentation of incident response protocols.
• Analyze security logs to identify suspicious patterns and anomalies.
• Prepare frequent reports on security findings and incident trends for management.
• Assist in conducting vulnerability scans and penetration tests.
• Offer actionable recommendations to fix discovered vulnerabilities.
• Engage in ongoing security training and professional development.
• Contribute to improving SOC workflows, procedures, and security tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Proven prior experience as a SOC Analyst or similar cybersecurity position.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, tools, and methods.
• Hands-on proficiency with SIEM, intrusion detection systems, and other security equipment.
• Certifications like CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC are highly valued.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
