SAP MM Consultant (L3)

Job Overview

Our client in the Power Generation Equipment sales, rental, and service industry is looking for a seasoned SAP Materials Management (MM) Consultant to lead a Greenfield SAP S/4HANA rollout. The successful candidate will design, configure, and deploy SAP MM solutions focusing on procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, material planning, and vendor relationships to optimize supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and configuration of SAP MM modules for procurement and inventory processes.
• Conduct Fit-to-Standard workshops to gather and analyze business requirements on procurement, inventory, and warehouse functions.
• Configure procurement cycles including purchase requisitions, RFQs, orders, contracts, scheduling agreements, and approval workflows.
• Manage inventory controls for goods receipt, issues, stock transfers, physical counts, batch handling, valuation, and invoice verification.
• Establish procurement workflows tailored to equipment manufacturing, project procurement, spare parts, rentals, and after-sales services.
• Ensure SAP MM integration with SAP FI/CO, SD, PM, EWM, TM, Ariba, Business Network, and other S/4HANA components for seamless business operations.
• Develop functional specifications and collaborate on technical deliverables such as reports, interfaces, forms, and system enhancements.
• Oversee data migration and validation for materials and vendor master data, and support testing phases including SIT and UAT, as well as cutover, go-live, and hypercare support.
• Deliver training, knowledge transfer, and ongoing functional support to procurement, warehouse, and inventory stakeholders.
• Ensure all solutions comply with SAP Best Practices, procurement governance, and organizational quality standards to provide scalable supply chain systems.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, IT, or related fields.
• 6 to 8 years of SAP consulting experience with a focus on Materials Management.
• Hands-on involvement in at least two full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA MM implementations.
• Deep knowledge of procurement lifecycle, purchase requisitions, RFQ and quotation handling, vendor evaluation, inventory management, goods receipt and issue, invoice verification, and master data management.
• Experience with subcontracting, stock transport orders, consignment processes, and account determination.
• Proficiency integrating SAP MM with modules like SD, FI/CO, PM, EWM, TM, Ariba, and SAP Business Network.
• Understanding of SAP technologies including S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, BTP, Integration Suite/CPI, APIs, IDocs, and Activate Methodology.
• Prior exposure to Power Generation Equipment, Industrial Equipment, Heavy Engineering, Manufacturing, Engineering Services, or Utilities sectors is advantageous.
• Preferred: SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement certification.
• Excellent analytical skills, stakeholder management, communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Availability to work onsite at client locations in Dubai, UAE, or Dammam, KSA.
