About Toby's Family Foods and Role Overview
Toby’s Family Foods in Springfield, Oregon is seeking dependable individuals to join their Sanitation Team. This role requires motivated and detail-oriented team players who can work independently and maintain high productivity in a flexible position involving physical effort.
Work Schedule
The role involves 8 to 10-hour shifts from Monday through Friday, typically between 12:00pm and 11:00pm, with weekly hours ranging from 30 to 40.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure a clean, efficient, and hygienic work environment aligned with food safety standards.
- Promote and maintain health and safety protocols on site.
- Sanitize machinery and utensils used during the production day shift.
- Collect and dispose of trash, and organize work areas at shift end.
- Clean restrooms and manage laundry duties.
- Complete all required checklists and documentation daily.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and good organizational skills.
- Understand and prevent allergen contamination and cross-contamination risks.
- Report equipment malfunctions or damages promptly to maintenance team.
- Follow instructions provided verbally or in writing by the shift lead.
- Use and store cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly at all times.
Physical Demands
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable standing for entire shifts in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to perform twisting, bending, and kneeling tasks.
- Frequent movement across large areas and occasional ladder use to reach high places.
Additional Qualifications and Conditions
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Committed to maintaining a safe workplace and following Good Manufacturing Practices to guarantee food safety.
- Prior sanitation or food manufacturing experience is preferred but training is provided for suitable candidates.
Work Hours
This position requires working between 30 and 40 hours per week.
