Roster Driver

Overview

The Admin Unit under Operations supports UNDP's mission by delivering transport and travel services, event logistics, supplier management, asset oversight, and protocol. Reporting to the Administrative Associate – Head of Admin, the Driver role focuses on dependable and safe driving services with attention to accuracy, client service, responsibility, and cultural sensitivity.

Work Approach and Tiered Application Process

UNDP follows a tiered application process prioritizing internal staff by contract type and renewal status for vacancies. Applicants should note the tier indicated and ensure they meet eligibility requirements.

Key Duties

• Operate office vehicles for authorized staff transport and for the delivery or receipt of mail, documents, and various items.
• Receive official visitors and personnel at the airport, assisting with visa and customs formalities as needed.
• Support office-related transport tasks including equipment and furniture relocation.
• Maintain office vehicles by performing minor repairs, cleanliness, and routine checks on oil, water, battery, brakes, and tires.
• Keep logs for official trips, including mileage and consumption records.
• Follow UNDP procedures and rules in case of vehicle accidents.
• Manage inventories of vehicle and communication equipment such as VHF radios.
• Adhere strictly to security regulations and ensure scheduled trips receive necessary security clearance in advance.
• Carry out additional functions as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum secondary education.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• At least two years' experience as a professional driver with a clean driving record.

• Background working in the UN, international organizations, or embassies is advantageous.

Languages

Fluency in Bosnian, Croatian, or Serbian languages with basic English proficiency.
