About the Role
Are you ready to shift your career into high gear? Join The AA as a Roadside Rescue Mechanic based in Aberdeen. As a vital member of the UK's largest motoring organization, you will provide swift and friendly roadside assistance, helping drivers get safely back on the road regardless of weather or location. This role offers flexible shift patterns averaging 40 hours a week, allowing you to choose a schedule that fits your life.
Key Responsibilities
- Begin and end your shifts from your home driveway, with payment covering your time on the road.
- Operate independently in various environments while staying connected to a supportive team.
- Apply your technical expertise and effective communication skills to deliver excellent customer service.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve a range of vehicle issues using your skills and calm demeanor.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possess an NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent with relevant experience.
- Hold a full Category B driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
- Demonstrate adaptability and eagerness to use new technologies provided by the company.
- Exhibit flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays to accommodate unpredictable breakdowns.
