Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Retail Consultant to be part of our store team. This role centers on delivering personalized, high-quality customer experiences by understanding individual needs and suggesting suitable products. You will be tasked with meeting sales goals and key store performance metrics including conversion rates, customer satisfaction scores, and average transaction values.

Core Responsibilities

• Identify customer requirements and recommend matching products.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product features and benefits for accurate customer communication.
• Promote additional products through upselling and cross-selling, informing customers about current offers and promotions.
• Consistently deliver outstanding customer service reflective of our company values.
• Represent company values such as adding value, being distinctive, personalizing service, demonstrating expertise, and authenticity in every customer interaction.
• Ensure store appearance adheres strictly to Visual Merchandising standards.
• Address customer questions, issues, and escalate when necessary promptly and appropriately.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A minimum of two years' retail experience, preferably in home or lifestyle products.
• Ability to connect with customers and help realize their home design visions.
• Strong sales orientation with a proactive, confident approach to surpassing targets.
• Excellent communication abilities and computer competency.
• Capacity to balance attentive customer service with essential administrative tasks.
• Interest in home styling, furniture, or enhancing living spaces is advantageous.
• Physical capability for routine manual handling duties such as lifting and moving varying sized furniture items safely.
• Alignment with company values exemplified by enthusiasm, distinctiveness, personal dedication, expertise, and authenticity.
• Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand (citizen, resident, or valid work visa holder).
• Availability to work a roster including Monday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:45 am to 5:15 pm.
