About the Role and Company
Invacare Europe & Asia Pacific and Direct Healthcare Group recently merged to form DHCare, a prominent global medical device organization dedicated to enhancing health through innovative solutions for individuals affected by reduced mobility. We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced cleaner to join our Rentals team in Auckland, supporting a busy DHB contract. This position is part of a small, close-knit team that collaborates internally to ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, serviced, and prepared for customer redistribution.
Responsibilities
- Operate automated washers and manually clean various medical equipment.
- Handle equipment of diverse sizes and weights, involving physical activities such as bending, lifting, and moving.
- Wrap and package equipment for return to the goods area and shelving.
- Maintain sufficient stock of cleaning supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report equipment that requires servicing or repair.
- Tag items accurately with serial numbers for tracking.
- Use high-reach and man-up machines to pick and store stock items.
Requirements and Eligibility
- Physically capable of lifting heavy items and performing hands-on cleaning duties.
- A proactive and energetic approach with strong communication skills.
- A team player who also works effectively independently.
- Reliability and pride in consistently delivering quality workmanship.
- Possession of a forklift license or a willingness to obtain one is advantageous.
