Job Overview

We are currently seeking motivated Recycling Sorters to join our Materials Recovery Facility in Winnipeg. This role involves the thorough categorization of recyclable materials to ensure quality and efficiency within our waste processing system. Successful candidates will contribute directly to environmental protection efforts through their daily activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Precisely separate recyclable items such as glass, paper, plastics, and metals from incoming waste.
• Maintain strict quality control by excluding contaminants from recycling streams.
• Follow all safety protocols to uphold a hazard-free workplace.
• Operate and help maintain sorting machinery as necessary.

Candidate Requirements

• Genuine dedication to environmental sustainability principles.
• Proficiency in English reading, speaking, and comprehension to carry out job functions accurately.
• Capability to meet physical demands including standing for long stretches and lifting moderate loads.
• Strong attention to detail for identifying recyclable materials swiftly and correctly.
• Good communication skills and effectiveness in a team-oriented environment.

Working Conditions and Schedule

This position is for an early morning shift with a start time at 5:30 AM at our Mazenod Road facility in Winnipeg.
