About the Role

The Talent Acquisition team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is actively seeking a skilled and client-focused Recruiter to join their ranks. This permanent, full-time position requires working on-site 5 days a week at the CBD location in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

As a Recruiter, you will lead candidate identification strategies within collaboration with hiring managers, supporting diverse roles across Australia. The role emphasizes creativity and innovation in talent attraction, commitment to recruitment excellence, and fostering strong partnerships with business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage deeply with business teams to fully understand position requirements to formulate effective recruiting strategies.
• Develop and sustain a robust network of potential candidates through proactive market research and relationship management, focusing on cultural fit and motivation beyond just filling roles.
• Maximize the use of various sourcing channels such as employee referrals, internal CRM systems, career portals, and job fairs.
• Serve as an expert on the talent market, contributing strategic insights to support long-term workforce planning.
• Implement and refine recruitment processes aligned with Amazon’s mission to deliver high-quality results.
• Participate actively in recruitment efforts, emphasizing skill assessment to uphold high hiring standards.
• Manage recruitment data efficiently, employing data-driven and methodical approaches to optimize process excellence.
• Continuously enhance the recruitment process by educating hiring managers and interviewers on best practices and interview skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical recruiting in a high-volume, high-standard environment.
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple recruitment searches, projects, and relationships effectively.
• Experienced in creating and leading sourcing initiatives and talent pipelines.
• Skilled in complex compensation structuring, offer negotiations, and overcoming objections.

• Preferred experience includes leveraging data analytics to design and scale recruitment workflows for accelerated hiring.
• Background in hiring candidates with high-security requirements or detailed knowledge of the defense talent landscape is advantageous.
• Experience operating within large teams or dynamic corporate settings, solving complex challenges efficiently.
• Proven track record in developing and managing workflows among candidates, hiring managers, and recruitment teams for enhanced process efficiency.
