Quantity Surveyor

Role Overview

The Quantity Surveyor will oversee the commercial and contractual aspects of building projects, ensuring financial management and contract compliance throughout all phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage post-tender and pre-contract activities including understanding tender documentation and assisting in setting commercial objectives for projects.
• Oversee procurement of subcontractors, participate in pre-award meetings, handle documentation and schedules, prepare payment applications and variations, measure and evaluate work, maintain accounts control, and manage contractual correspondence and final account reconciliation during contract execution.
• Complete post-contract duties such as finalizing subcontractor accounts and ensuring all relevant paperwork and filing are complete.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of relevant professional qualifications in quantity surveying.
• At least three years of experience obtained within a building contractor environment.
• Proficient in IT systems related to the role.
• Strong team player with excellent organizational skills, initiative, and outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
