QA/QC Inspector - Data Center Projects

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned QA/QC Inspector to oversee quality assurance and control activities for Data Center projects. This role requires ensuring that all construction and installation tasks comply with the specified quality criteria, client requirements, and industry standards. The inspector will play a vital role in identifying defects, managing non-conformances, supporting commissioning processes, and facilitating smooth project handovers.

Core Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough quality assessments of construction and installation tasks within Data Center environments.
• Confirm that work adherence meets approved blueprints, technical specifications, and recognized industry protocols.
• Examine and contribute to Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality procedures, and essential project documentation.
• Detect and document defects, discrepancies, and non-conformities; ensure follow-up corrective measures are implemented effectively.
• Evaluate installations related to electrical systems, mechanical systems, and building services.
• Attend tests, commissioning, and acceptance stages to witness and verify quality compliance.
• Maintain comprehensive records encompassing inspection logs, quality reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and punch lists.
• Assist in project handover by guaranteeing completeness and accuracy of all quality-related documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Contractors, and Clients to uphold rigorous quality standards throughout project delivery.

Technical Inspection Areas

• High Voltage/Low Voltage (HV/LV) Electrical Systems
• Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and Generator Systems
• Cooling and HVAC Infrastructure
• Mechanical piping and associated equipment
• Structured cabling and network setup
• Raised flooring, fire-stopping measures, and building fabric
• Commissioning and readiness for operational phases

Experience and Expertise

• Minimum of five years in QA/QC, quality inspection, or construction quality roles within relevant sectors.
• Hands-on experience with Data Center, Critical Infrastructure, MEP, or industrial projects.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical system components.
• Proven experience managing NCRs, inspections, as well as testing and commissioning quality assurance.
• Ability to decipher and analyze engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately.
