Job Overview

This is a full-time administrative position located onsite, requiring work of 48 weekly hours with a one-year contract duration. The position title is Psychological Counseling Specialist. Salary and employment benefits will be communicated upon successful interview completion.

Responsibilities

• Support the college's vision and mission actively.
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to assist students in overcoming psychological, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
• Monitor and manage psychological cases and develop appropriate support plans.
• Help students enhance personal and social skills to improve academic and behavioral performance.
• Assess students' social conditions and provide necessary support to facilitate their academic integration.
• Supervise social programs that foster positive relationships among students and faculty.
• Coordinate with external organizations specializing in social and psychological support services for students.
• Address social issues potentially impacting students' academic outcomes.
• Develop and implement workshops and awareness programs promoting psychological and social health.
• Organize awareness campaigns around mental health, academic stress, and university life adaptation.
• Initiate preventive mental health support initiatives aligning with the college's mission.
• Contribute to creating a positive educational environment supportive of mental and social well-being.
• Maintain confidential and updated records of cases following ethical and professional standards.
• Prepare regular reports on psychological and social activities for senior management.
• Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to ensure effective psychological and social support.
• Adhere to college policies and professional standards in delivering psychological and social services.
• Protect the college's reputation and property, maintain order, and ensure student safety.
• Fully commit to employment terms at the college and comply with Saudi laws and regulations, avoiding religious or political interference.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field from a Saudi or Ministry of Education-recognized university.
• Minimum of two years' relevant experience in the specialization.
• A cumulative GPA of at least 'Good' in the bachelor's degree program, completed through full-time study.
• Valid professional classification from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
• Graduates from non-Saudi universities must have degree equivalency from the Ministry of Education.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience in delivering counseling sessions and monitoring individual cases.
• Proven expertise in planning and executing awareness and preventive programs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including empathy, confidentiality, and effective communication.
• Ability to handle sensitive psychological and social issues with complete discretion.
• Active listening, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Teamwork skills to work within multidisciplinary groups.
