About the Role
MOBCO Group is inviting applications for an experienced Project Controls Manager to lead the planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and performance assessment for construction projects. The role involves managing project timelines, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure successful project delivery within construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the project controls function across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Create, update, and oversee baseline schedules and integrated master plans.
- Utilize Primavera P6 for project scheduling and monitor progress against planned activities, identifying deviations promptly.
- Lead cost control activities including budget management, tracking commitments, actual expenditures, accruals, and forecasting.
- Generate and review detailed monthly cost reports, cash flow projections, and financial forecasts related to projects.
- Track project performance relative to approved cost, schedule, and progress benchmarks.
- Analyze trends, delays, cost overruns, and variances, offering corrective recommendations.
- Develop recovery and acceleration plans to address project delays as needed.
- Manage risk registers, change control processes, contractual variations, and assess their cost and schedule impacts.
- Coordinate closely with Project Management, Planning, Commercial, Contracts, Procurement, Engineering, and Construction departments.
- Prepare precise weekly and monthly reports, dashboards, and presentations for management review.
- Support project teams with Extension of Time (EOT), delay analysis, claims, variations, and contractual issues.
- Establish and uphold project control procedures, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), reporting standards, and performance monitoring systems.
- Lead and mentor teams specializing in planning, cost control, and project controls functions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a closely related field.
- Have a minimum of 12 years' experience in project control roles within the construction sector.
- Expertise in both project planning/scheduling and cost control disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience working with reputable construction or contracting firms.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, progress tracking, and project performance analysis.
- Well-versed with construction methodologies, project execution strategies, and contractual obligations.
- Experience handling large-scale, multi-disciplinary infrastructure, building, or major construction projects.
- Previous work experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC countries is preferred.
- Possession of certifications such as PMP, AACE, PMI-SP, PSP, or equivalents is advantageous.
