Role Summary

As a Process Improvement Manager in Logistics & Delivery, you will work within a collaborative and fast-moving environment, focusing on enhancing efficiency and reducing costs by reviewing and refining processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance cost efficiency and optimize workflows through comprehensive data analysis.
• Standardize and improve in-station logistics activities such as receiving, sorting, route planning, and loading procedures.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and work instructions.
• Define system needs and collaborate closely with technology teams to design system features and functionalities.
• Generate performance and quality measurement reports.
• Create training materials and conduct 'train the trainer' sessions to upskill staff.
• Lead root cause analyses utilizing Lean, 5S, or similar methodologies to address performance challenges related to key performance indicators at stations.
• Work hands-on with station teams to understand operational difficulties and foster process improvements.
• Promote continuous improvement culture by training frontline leaders on lean principles.
• Establish and implement routines and mechanisms aimed at ongoing enhancement of delivery station operations.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher qualification.
• Have at least five years of experience in logistics and delivery/distribution, preferably within retail or e-commerce sectors.
• Demonstrate proficiency in process optimization and SOP creation.
• Experience with Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
• Fluent in English, with preferred additional proficiency in German or French.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and system implementation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with BPMN tools for process improvements.
• Preferred work locations include Oberhausen, Munich, and Berlin, but candidates from other German cities will also be considered.
