Premium Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, customer-oriented individual to join our team at ReturnToWorkSA as a Premium Officer. This key position supports South Australian employers to fulfill their registration and premium payment obligations under the Return to Work Scheme.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect business information and apply South Australian Industry Classifications (SAIC) accurately.
• Make evidence-based decisions regarding employer classifications.
• Engage with employers and their representatives to offer guidance and education on registration and premium responsibilities.
• Handle registrations, approve online access, and perform administrative duties according to policies and procedures.
• Maintain meticulous records, including detailed notes of all employer interactions.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by communicating clearly with appropriate language tailored to the audience.

About You

• Customer-focused with a drive to produce positive outcomes for diverse stakeholders.
• Effective communicator skilled in active listening, rapport building, questioning, and clear explanation via phone and written formats.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to gather information, exercise sound judgment, and make decisions within guidelines.
• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities while ensuring high accuracy.
• Comfortable working within a structured environment emphasizing compliance, policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
• Collaborative team player who supports colleagues and contributes to continuous improvement.
• Resilient and adaptable, maintaining professionalism and empathy when addressing inquiries from a wide range of customers.
• Eager to enhance technical knowledge related to insurance, premium operations, and employer services.
• Experience in customer service, contact centers, administration, or similar roles is advantageous, along with a commitment to excellent customer outcomes.

Work Conditions

• Work under a roster system from Monday to Friday.
• Additional hours may be necessary during peak periods.
• Leave restrictions apply between July and November.
• Employment contingent upon reference checks and a psychometric assessment (Hogan Express Report).

Remuneration and Benefits

• Annual base salary starting from $69142 (exclusive of superannuation), commensurate with experience and qualifications.
