About the Role
BEYOND Developments, a member of the OMNIYAT Group, is seeking a Planning Specialist to manage quantity surveying tasks throughout development projects, ensuring projects meet budget, schedule, and company standards. This role involves close collaboration with the Development Team to develop, monitor, and update project schedules primarily during the Pre-Construction and Design Phases. The candidate will contribute to accurate planning, tracking authority approvals, and provide strategic schedule management for complex developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain project programme schedules from Pre-Concept Design through Detailed Design stages.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to align project design deliverables with scheduling requirements.
- Assess timelines for Authority approvals and incorporate them into project plans.
- Develop and manage Master Plan Programmes for multi-faceted development projects.
- Support master planning by defining feasible phasing, sequencing, and programmatic strategies.
- Review baseline and updated schedules from consultants and contractors to ensure they meet contract and project standards.
- Perform delay investigations, evaluate claims, and advise Development and Project Controls teams on findings.
- Identify risks related to schedule adherence and suggest mitigation approaches during both design and construction phases.
- Prepare regular programme progress updates, critical path analyses, and dashboards for management review.
- Assist with procurement schedule planning and synchronization of milestones.
- Ensure timelines across design, procurement, regulatory approval, and construction stages are harmonized throughout the project life cycle.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Civil Engineering.
- 6 to 9 years of relevant experience, ideally with property developers or master developers.
- Proven expertise in pre-construction planning, design development processes, authority permit tracking, and master planning activities.
- Advanced skills in project scheduling software including Primavera P6 and MS Project.
