Piping Drafter / Designer

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Piping Drafter / Designer to join our team in Singapore. This role involves creating detailed shop drawings based on contractual plans provided by main contractors for assigned projects. The candidate will also develop preliminary schemes and penetration drawings as required, and must be capable of producing pipe schedule hydraulics for each project. Familiarity with related equipment and the ability to report deviations from tender drawings to the Design Manager are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate accurate shop drawings derived from main contractors' contractual documents for assigned projects.
• Develop preliminary schematic and penetration drawings when necessary.
• Produce hydraulic pipe schedules related to assigned projects.
• Understand all equipment related to each project for proper drafting and design integration.
• Report inconsistencies or deviations from initial tender drawings to the Design Manager.
• Maintain knowledge and compliance with relevant fire codes and technical directives.
• Attend project sites as requested by supervisory staff.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination with colleagues and management.
• Utilize software tools including AutoCAD, BIM, and Microstation proficiently.

Additional Information

This position requires close adherence to fire codes and technical standards and also includes occasional site visits. Strong collaboration with team members and clear communication lines are critical for success.
